Damon is a Chartered Accountant with almost 20 years experience in professional/business advisory services. He has worked in both a larger second tier firms and smaller inner city practices. This has allowed him to build the technical knowledge and systemised approach of a larger organisation but at the same time understand and value the personalised approach and agility that a smaller practice offers.
Damon’s mix of tax knowledge, pro-active client service and “plain English” communication skills make him a highly valued contributor to his client’s business, investment and taxation strategies. He strives to provide up to date and forward-focussed advice and analysis to enable his clients to make informed decisions with confidence.
Damon prides himself on being readily accessible to his clients. This extends to responsiveness and prompt turnaround of projects and advice. His clients know that when there is a crisis or urgent issue in their business or personal affairs that he will make things happen and get a result in the required timeframe.
Where he strikes an issue that he can’t solve or is beyond his expertise, he will find someone qualified in his network who can. Whilst Damon is able to comfortably handle day to day and year end financial / tax compliance matters for his clients, he understands that these tasks are largely undertaken to provide “peace of mind”. He believes that true value, however, is provided to his clients by navigating the way ahead and not focussing solely on what has already passed.
Damon’s clients cover a broad range of industries and sizes. He counts a number of high net worth family groups, subsidiaries of international groups, professional services businesses, medical practitioners and property developers amongst his client base. Most of Damon’s clients have been with him for many years due to the trust they have in him and the service he provides.
Damon is also a board member of the Red Stitch Actors Theatre, Australia’s leading ensemble driven theatre company, where he has acted as Treasurer since 2015.
Outside of work, Damon is an avid sports fanatic, particularly when it comes to AFL football. He and his partner are also the proud parents (and trainers) to a pampered German Shepherd. After hours, Damon loves attending good restaurants and having a glass (or two) of red wine while there.

Susie is a Chartered Accountant with over 12 years’ experience. She undertook her initial training and qualifications after previously working in two universities in Western Australia. Following this , Susie spent her first years as a professional accountant working with several of Melbourne’s leading mid-tier accountancy firms.
More recently, Susie has honed her skills and gained valuable client management experience with smaller boutique accounting practices. It's with boutique accounting firms and CC1 Advisory in particular, where Susie believes she is best placed to provide the sort of personalised, client focussed and proactive approach that clients want and deserve.
Susie has found these smaller practices also allow her to better juggle her work and life commitments. Outside of work, Susie has a young adult son to set on life’s tortuous path, as well as two truffle -hunting Italian dogs and one very loud mini schnauzer, who demand regular exercise and training.
Susie’s attention to detail and her incisive ability to cut through issues and problems, have earned her a well-deserved reputation for excellence with CC1’s client base. Forever the optimist and with a ‘can do’ eagerness for the accountancy world, her only regret is not being able to bring her three dogs with her to work.
